Hello! I am Devin De Leon and I am passionate about taking photographs.
Other than photography, I am a blogger, musician, and avid reader. I studied English Literature at the University of Texas at San Antonio and while there I started writing for the Newspaper at UTSA called – The Paisano. It was at The Paisano that I discovered my passion for photography. Often at The Paisano there were never enough photographers for the articles, so I stepped up to the plate and offered to start shooting photos for anyone who needed photos for their articles, as well as my own articles.
Initially, I picked up photography 10 years prior to that, back when I was 18 years old; however, at that time photography was merely a hobby. Once I started shooting photos at The Paisano, a fire grew inside of me, I felt like a phoenix rising from the ashes; a new passion was born, and it replaced my former love -- music. Prior to photography I was a very active performing musician, I put out a few records, and went on numerous tours around the country. I will always cherish the good memories of the road and the camaraderie that went along with playing in a band; but, unfortunately, at a certain point, it was time to step away from performing music and focus on a new artistic outlet.
Personally, photography goes much deeper than the photo, for me, photography is about capturing a single moment that can live forever. I specialize in capturing candid moments because I love the naturalness of that moment.
